“For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” [Romans 10:12-17]
This remarkable video is of Ryan Ferguson presenting Hebrews 9 &10 at the “Worship God ‘06″ Conference, in August of 2006. It is remarkable in that Ryan is presenting the two chapters of the epistle completely from memory and also in a very dramatic and effective way. Mr Ferguson has obviously learned the importance and rewards of hiding God’s word in our hearts; or as the Psalmist expresses it in Psalm 119:9-16:
“How can a young man keep his way pure?
By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you;
let me not wander from your commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you. Blessed are you, O Lord;
teach me your statutes! With my lips I declare all the rules of your mouth. In the way of your testimonies I delight as much as in all riches. I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways. I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.”
